The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization. Its mission is to support the Church, programs of evangelization and Catholic education, civic involvement and to give aid to those in need. All the good works the Knights do are based on four core principles:
Charity:
Our mission and faith compel us to action. There is no better way to experience love and compassion than to help those in need.
Unity:
None of us is as good as all of us together. We know that together we can accomplish far more than any of us could individually.
In the Knights of Columbus, we watch out for and take care of one another.
Whatever our backgrounds, we are all Americans. We are proud of our devotion to God and country, and believe in standing up for both.
All men, or boys in high school or older, are welcome to join the Knights of Columbus.
Meetings are held the Second Wednesday of the month (Business Meeting) and 1st Saturday of the month (Planning) in the church hall.
Since 1882, membership in the Knights of Columbus has been open to men 18 years of age or older who are "practical" (that is, practicing) Catholics in union with the Holy See. Since that time, the Knights of Columbus has understood "practical catholic" to mean a Catholic who accepts the teaching authority of the Catholic Church on matters of faith and morals, aspires to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church, i and is in good standing in the Catholic Church.
